Hitachi was selected as a component of the Dow Jones Sustainability Indices (DJSI) World Index, the globally renowned SRI* index this year again for the 7 consecutive years. The DJSI evaluates corporate sustainability among 2,500 companies in the world based on "economic", "environmental", and "social" criteria, and selects the top 10% of companies for each industry as a member of the World Index.
Since its foundation in 1910, Hitachi has been operating with our corporate credo "contributing to society through the development of superior, original technology and products." In line with the Hitachi Founding Spirit of sincerity, we will pursue integrity and complete transparency in our business operations to increase the trust that society places in us.
