Hitachi was selected as a component of the Dow Jones Sustainability Indices (DJSI) World Index, the globally renowned SRI* index this year again for the 7 consecutive years. The DJSI evaluates corporate sustainability among 2,500 companies in the world based on "economic", "environmental", and "social" criteria, and selects the top 10% of companies for each industry as a member of the World Index.
