Hitachi announces Queensland Museum partnership

22nd November 2016

Hitachi Australia Pty Ltd is proud to announce its five-year partnership with Queensland Museum, as Technology Partner of the new Wild State gallery.

Queensland Museum is located at South Bank in the heart of Brisbane’s Cultural Precinct, and is the most visited museum in Australia. Permanent attractions include the Sciencentre, Discovery Centre, and the Lost Creatures: Stories from Ancient Queensland gallery. The Museum also regularly hosts national and international travelling exhibitions and offers a range of public and educational programs.

Queensland Museum’s new gallery, Wild State celebrates Queensland’s wild and unparalleled beauty and its habitats.

Wild State showcases Queensland’s spectacular biodiversity in an immersive exhibition, taking visitors on a journey through five breathtaking habitats to discover why Queensland is one of the most biologically diverse places on earth.

The arid outback, iconic eucalypt forest, tropical rainforest, sun-drenched coastal zones and teeming marine environments - Queensland’s stunning biodiversity takes centre stage through beautiful displays featuring wildlife and specimens from the State Collection alongside breathtaking photography. The Hitachi Laser projectors are featured prominently in the new gallery, ensuring crystal clear image reproduction for the video content on display.

Queensland Museum is open daily from 9.30am - 5.00pm. Closed Good Friday, Christmas Day & Boxing Day. Open ANZAC Day from 1.30 pm.

Wild State is on Level 4 of the Queensland Museum. Admission is free.
